How To Make A Tissue Paper Flower
- Colored Tissue Paper
- Steel Wire
- Green Flower Tape
We need to make the stem. In order to make a strong stem cut a long piece of the steel wire and wrap or wind six pieces together. This will make a strong and steady stem.
Then wrap the flower tape around the stem all the way down and pull as you go, make sure its nice and tight.
Stack six to eight 20 by 30 inch sheets. Make 1 inch wide accordion folds while creasing with each fold.
Take the stem ( steel wire ) and wrap/twist around the center of the tissue. Then with scissors trim the ends of the tissue into semi circles or crescent moon shape.
Separate each layer one at a time by pulling each fold up and away from the center.
Now you’re all done. You can also make these flowers in different colors and sizes to fit any occasion.
Step 7 (Optional)
If you would like to add some leaves to your flower stem then get some crepe paper and cut out some leaf shapes. For a number of leaves, stack several layers of crepe paper and cut.
Using flower tape wrap the leaf pieces around the stem.
Step 9: Finally Done!
