Here are the materials you will need for this project: A roll of brown paper, a gallon of Elmer’s glue, oil based stain, water based floor polyurethane, something to apply the polyurethane- you could use this “deck pad“. That is all you need for a wood floor…if you do this on concrete floor then you will also need small amount of concrete to patch holes from carpet tracks and a pole sander or sand paper.

Clear out the room you would like to work on then prep the floors by mixing the concrete and patching up holes left from carpet tracks.

For concrete floors you must first seal the floor with a coat of floor paint or coat of poly. Then start ripping the paper in no particular size or shape so it can look more natural.

Your paper will shrink as it dries so make sure each piece overlaps a little. Apply glue on both sides of the paper.

Leave it alone for about a week before putting anything on it, now your floor is complete!
